From the unmistakable creativity of Elena Salmistraro come two collections of handles that differ in image and identity, but share the recovery of porcelain as the material of choice and the ability to give personality to any space, in which they fit with style and elegance.
The handle’s shape, with its slightly flattened white sphere on the lever, evokes the graceful lines of the magnificent insect while remaining comfortable to use. The handle is available in various finishes and colours to suit everyone’s needs.
Dune
The soft sand dunes of the desert are the inspiration for Dune, the handle designed by Elena Salmistraro for Dnd. Its sinuous shape is enriched by the three-dimensional texture that captures the reliefs generated by the wind, defining the handle’s aesthetics and favouring a secure grip.
Dune brings back the vintage images of handmade porcelain handles from the past, updated thanks to the most modern processing technologies, which give them a modern look and finishes.
Elena Salmistraro
Product designer and artist, lives and works in Milan.
She graduated in industrial design from Milan Polytechnic and founded her own studio in 2009. She collaborates as a product designer and illustrator with many companies in the creative industry.
She is interested in developing work that straddles illustration, design and visual arts.
In 2017, she won the ‘Salone del Mobile Milano Award’ as ‘Best Newcomer Designer’. She has received international awards and her designs have been selected for several exhibitions.
